Here we have Night Patrol, the proto-Police Academy that is far more adult but also, like, actually funny. It’s witty, well-written, and the comedy treads into some interesting places, even though most of it goes way too far. To say that it pushes the envelope is an understatement. Director Jackie Kong is the creative mind behind oddities like The Being and Blood Diner, making her the perfect weirdo to bring this absurdist cop comedy to life. While the majority of the comedy is funny, those last few moments really harm the production. It’s a solid comedy that plays a little too hard and ends up becoming cruel and cheap. RottenPop can’t fully recommend this movie, but if you want to see some clips of the comedy, then go on YouTube and check it out. You might find it streaming on sites like Tubi and Plex. RottenPop gives this one and a half stars. Watch at your own risk. Full Review on Substack
