I've heard about this film (and series) over the years and having finally watched it, it's quite dull. There's not much of a story here and that's not too surprising but even the erotism was not enough to carry through the 92-minute running time and as for Sylvia Kristel as Emmanuelle, she was okay I guess. I at least wanted to be entertained by this 1970s erotic drama and found myself bored. **2.0/5**

Rated 0 out of 10, obviously. Emmanuelle (1974) is not erotica as advertised. It's degenerate trash. The film features two beautiful women, Emmanuelle (Sylvia Kristel) and Bee (Marika Green), but only in a few, brief normal eroric scenes. The other 90% of the movie is degenerate trash. Sylvia Kristel was a sex symbol of her generation. It's crazy that she starred in this trash. For 90% of the movie she is being dragged around by an old impotent pervert, who commands her to have humiliating, disgusting, abusive sex with random subhuman degenrates. Highly likely this movie and the book source were made by degenerates from the Frankfulrt School ideology who despise everything intelligent and beautiful, responsible of the extermination of the mentally and physically sane intellectuals by communist dictators. It's the only plausible explanation of why they would cast a beautiful woman and show her being abused in disgusting, humiliating ways by subhuman degenerates. Trivia: Marika Green is Eva Green's auntie. P.S. If you like real classic erotica, watch Gwendoline (1984).
