Kevin Eastwood is a Canadian writer, director and producer best known for being the series director behind three critically acclaimed series for public television: the medical docuseries Emergency Room: Life + Death At VGH (2014), the revisionist history series, British Columbia: An Untold History (2021), and occu-doc series, Wildfire (2025) which chronicled the worst wildfire season in Canadian history. Recurring themes in his work include environmental issues, the impact of trauma, and the role of art in society. Other credits as writer/director include Humboldt: The New Season (2019) and After the Sirens (2018), both of which were nominated for Best Documentary Program at the Canadian Screen Awards, The Society Page (winner of a 2025 Leo Award for Best Direction), and The Death Debate (nominated for a 2014 Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction). As a producer, Kevin’s credits include the documentary features The Painted Life of E.J. Hughes (2025), Haida Modern (2020), and Oil Sands Karaoke (2013), and the movies Preggoland (2014), Fido (2006), and The Delicate Art of Parking (2004).
