Theo Barrowclough is a British film producer whose career has centred on the independent film sector. After eight years at DMC Film, he joined House Productions as Executive Producer in July 2023.
Barrowclough began building his production credits with a notable early role as Associate Producer on the Irish-UK co-production Calm with Horses (2019), which was backed by Film4 and premiered at TIFF. Over the years at DMC Film, he progressed to producer status and, in 2023, produced the feature directorial debut of Charlotte Regan, Scrapper (2023).
His work on Scrapper has earned him multiple awards and nominations: he won the Breakthrough Producer award at the 2023 British Independent Film Awards. That film was also nominated that year for Best British Independent Film, and in 2024, he was nominated for the BAFTA Film Awards Outstanding British Film of the Year.
Barrowclough holds a degree in English Literature from University College London (UCL), which he pursued before entering the film industry.
His focus remains on character-driven, independent British cinema, and his appointment to House Productions signals an expansion into higher-profile slates and potentially larger-scale productions, while maintaining his independent film credentials.
